If, as we believe, "wine is made in the vineyard," our vineyards express it with stubborn determination: the strength of La Fortezza, in fact, lies in a combination of soil quality, exposure, altitude, and vineyard care. These characteristics are best expressed by the Classic Line, which is made up of six excellent native grape varieties: three white wines , Falanghina , Fiano, and Greco , and three reds : Aglianico, Piedirosso , and Barbera . Particular attention is given to Aglianico. Docg , the flagship of this line which also has a reserve version .
